Origen Primate

En la clase de Biología nos pusimos a investigar acerca del orden primate, su historia y clasificación. Luego de investigar, hicimos una presentación acerca de eso. Esta es Mi presentación.

Equilibrio Químico

En la clase de química, comenzamos a tratar el tema de equilibrio quimico. Para ver si comprendemos bien el tema, tuvimos que hacer un tutorial sobre como se resuelve un ejercicio y los pasos a seguir.

Summer Time

After analysing the information sheet again, we had to pretend to work at a sport and adventure summer camp and give information to the new campers arriving soon.

 Time for some fun!
Welcome campers! We are very happy to have you visiting us for. We want to make your stay here very confortable, so here are some tips to accomplish that.

  Physically talking
We count with a vert large variety of sports and activities for you to enjoy. You will be able to choose the one who is more comfortable and enjoyable for you. Also if you want to learn about a new sport, we can teach you.

 Sunny days!
As you know, this is a summer camp, this means that probably everyday sun and water will be present. You have to bring comfortable clothes. But, also warm clothes are important because many times, temperatures get really cold at night. It is indispensable to bring: - Bathing suit - Hat - Sunglasses.

 Time to sleep!
If we talk about sleeping arrangements we are the ones who decide it. The bedrooms are for three or four people and you can choose with who you want to be, it is recomendable to choose people you don’t know, in order to make new friendships.

 Be careful!
 There are some important dangers. As we don’t want injuries or accidents to happen, you should follow our orders so you can be safe.

 Read and check all the aspects mentioned in detail. We wish you a lovely stay and we hope you have fun!

Our little town

After taking about information sheets, we were asked to write one about the facilities in our town.

 WELCOME TO OUR TOWN 

         We are really happy to receive you to our beautiful and familiar town. In order for you to have a beautiful time here are some helpful tips.

 Physically talking  

  If you like sports our town is your place, it has a lot of sports facilities, like gyms, futbol, tenis, polo and basketball clubs. The most played sports in our town that are polo and volleyball.

 Any trouble?   

  It is really critical to know where to assist if you are in a health trouble. Our main hospital is "Clinica Valencia”. Which is located really near from the main avenue, Valencia. You just have to go through the avenue and turn right in the street “Colombres”

 Teeth trouble?    

 Apart form our main hospitals facilities it is important to know where you can find a good and trusty dentist. Our town does not have lot of really good dentists, although the best one is one in front of the “World School”.

 Medicine really near

     Finally, it is critical to have in consideration where pharmacies are located. In our town there are just two pharmacies, and they are located at the centre of the town. They are not too expensive, so that should not be a problem.

Social media effects

In the ELT class we made an essay about social media in our lifes and how does affect it. Here is mine:

How many hours we have spent checking our Snapchat or Instagram?

 There 's no doubt that we re addicted to our phones . We spent too much time on our devices checking social mediA and it can really damage not only ourselves but also the relationships we have. When we go to a restaurant more than half of the people of all ages are on their phones. It s really sad to see that "conecction ".

 I ,unfortunatelly, am guilty of spending too much time checking my social media at inappropiate times, for example, in class, on a date, at a meeting with friends or when my mom is blowing candles on her birthday.

 The terrible thing is that is has become an obsession to check an app, close it, an re open it again a second after. And yes, there is no doubt that this affects relationships. Generally speaking this has become an addiction for most of us.

 In contrast with this , social media could be great if we learn when to put our phones down. For sure, taking a break from social media could give us time to interact with each other. It is difficult to think about the future if we dont stop this once and for all. It is social media the respon sable of lack of physical communication.

 To conclude, what we can do to stop this is going out, play outer games, reading books or just stop checking accounts so frecuently. We have to focus on things that are really important in life as family, friends and romantic relationships

Informe sobre una noticia

En la clase de ciencias de la tierra, nos asignaron la tarea de buscar una noticia actual, y hacer un informe sobre esta. Esto fue llevado a cabo a que cada semana 4 o 5 entregaban su informe. “El pájaro que inventó el vuelo moderno, en tiempo de los dinosaurios”

Breve relato:  

Los surcos que hacían en la sierra de Cuenca para plantar pinos acabaron destapando la presencia de fósiles de dinosaurios, cocodrilos, pterodáctilos y muchos otros animales que vivieron en esta zona cuando era una marisma subtropical. Entre todos los especímenes encontrados sobresalían dos pequeños pájaros. Las dos especies descubiertas, concornis y eoalulavis, descritas en 1992 y 1996, respectivamente, eran de las primeras aves conocidas del Cretácico. Presentaban una extraña mezcla de dinosaurio y pájaro moderno, con dientes y garras que sobresalían del extremo de sus alas. Ahora, un nuevo estudio ha reconstruido el vuelo de estos dos pájaros y señala que inventaron el vuelo a saltos característico de muchas aves modernas.

Se relaciona con la paleontología y que esta es la ciencia que estudia e interpreta el pasado de la vida sobre la Tierra a través de los fósiles. Un fosil es una sustancia orgánica muerta que se ha petrificado mediante procesos químicos y geológicos y se encuentra en los antiguos depósitos sedimentarios de la corteza terrestre, y para llegar a ser un fósil el organismo pasa por un proceso de fosilización que es la serie de cambios físicos y químicos que ocurren en un organismo, desde que muere hasta que es descubierto en forma de fósil, formando parte de las rocas.

Les Misérables

Résumé:

Les misérables concerne un homme, Jean Valjean pour ne pas mourir et se satisfaire, commet un crime quand il le commet, il est emmené en prison où il est obligé de faire un dur labeur par un supérieur. Années plus tard, il quitte la prison, il trouve l'évêque Myriel et sa vie change complètement en tant que Maire d'une ville. Des années plus tard, son supérieur en prison le trouve et ne parvient pas à comprendre comment il est arrivé là après son passé. Jean Valjean rachète une femme appelle Fantine d'être frappé par quelques hommes et la loge dans sa maison parce qu'elle est mâle.Fantine a une fille appelle Cosette. C'est ici que vous pouvez trouver l'envie qui peut générer un homme qui dans le passé était plus que quelqu'un et maintenant pas, ce qui conduit alors à de nombreux actes de mal. Apres la mère de Cosette il est mort et Jean Valjean adopte Cosette.IL la porte à Paris en cachette et la cache dans un monastère durant toute son enfance. Cosette tombe amoureux de Marius. Finalement, le filma fini avec une guerre interne dans Paris, ou tout de suite l'inspecteur demande un pardon par ses actes et finalement il se suicide.

• Jean valjean :un prisonnier qui plus tard devient  le Maire d'une ville.
• L´ inspector Javert: Fils d’une tireuse de cartes, dont le mari est aux galères, Javert est né dans une prison.
• Marius Pontmercy : est un garçon qui Cosette tomber enamore
• Cosette: Cosette est la fille naturelle de Fantine
• Fantine: c´est la mère de cosette, elle était travailleuse mais devait se prostituer.

Reference for a friend

In the ELT class we wrote a letter, recomending a friend of us for a student service assistant job, here is mine:

Dear Mrs. Blake,

 My name is Juan Masco Marino. I was a student at Newlands School together with Joaquin T. a year ago.I'm writing to recommend my friend Joaquin for the job. I' ve known him for 12 years. He has always been the best student at school and a wonderful friend with all of us.

 He is responsable, ready to help anybody whenever there is a problem and most of all, he is eager to learn anything new. He is very organized and capable of doing different things at the same time.For these reasons I think he ll be the right person for the job at the College. Besides he is very good and kind with people , so the school envoirnment would be great for him.
