Japan's Catasrophie
One day a Tsunami took placein Japan. In that tsunami more than 18,000 people were killed in the disaster. Most of them died by drowning.
The Tsunami occurred at 14:46 on Friday 11 March 2011 at the east of the Oshika Peninsula this occurred because the Pacific plate moves fast in tectonic terms, at a rate of 9cm (3.5 inches) a year. This leads to the rapid buildup of huge amounts of energy. As the Pacific plate moves down, it sticks to the overhead plate and pulls it down too. Eventually, the join breaks, causing the seafloor to spring upwards several metres. The plate tectonics of the region are complex, and geologists are not sure which plate Japan sits on.
The tsunami hit the city and demolished several buildings in the city and killed lot of people. A person that was at that time and she said: “Oh, it was a terrifying sensation the only way i could describe it is like a sustained sense of vertigo"
